🌱 Event: Preparing the Market Garden 🌿

📅 Date: 28/02/2025

⏰ Time: 10:00 - 16:00 (Drop-in session)

📍 Location: Got Greens Farm, Winterbourne, South Glous

Join us for a hands-on day of community gardening 🌾 as we prepare our 600m² market garden for the 2025 growing season! 🌻

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about sustainable no-dig gardening methods 🌍, meet like-minded people 🤝, and contribute to our regenerative farm project. Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole day, your help will make a big difference! 💪✨ We’re growing more than just vegetables—we’re growing healthy, chemical-free food to donate to local food banks and support families facing food insecurity. 💚 By helping out, you’ll be part of a community effort to make fresh, local produce accessible to those who need it most.

🌼What you could get involved in:

  • Spreading organic matter: 🛠️ Help us lay compost and mulch on the growing beds to enrich the soil for the upcoming season.

  • Weed suppression: 🌾 Assist in laying down cardboard or biodegradable coverings to suppress weeds and maintain soil health.

  • Pathway maintenance: 🪜 Work on clearing and defining pathways between beds for safe and easy access during planting and harvesting.

  • Bed preparation: 🌱 Shape and mark out new no-dig beds for the 2025 growing season.

🧤 What to Bring:

  • Wear suitable footwear (sturdy boots 🥾 or wellies recommended).

  • Bring gardening gloves 🧤 if you have them. Don’t worry if not—we’ll have spares available for anyone who needs them.

No prior gardening experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved and have fun outdoors! 🌞

Tea ☕and coffee ☕will be provided throughout the day.

We can’t wait to see you there! 🌿✨ Please RSVP via to help us plan
